Helene at 6 months

Can you believe this little one is 6 months old already?!

Where has the time gone?!

Here are a few stats:
At Helene's 6 month appointment she weighed in at 15 lbs 4 oz and measured 26 inches. So she's gained a little more than one pound a month and grown a little less than 1 inch a month since her birth.

She loves discovering new toys and we recently got out the exersaucer for her to play in and she LOVES it!! The first time I put her in it, she played for about 2 hours without complaint. Yeah, it's my new BFF...and apparently Helene's too.

She is still working on sitting up all by herself and I think she'll have mastered that pretty soon. I think it's so funny when they are sitting and then just fall over to the side--is that mean?

She loves to be on the floor and roll around and around and I caught her lifting up her tummy just the other day, so crawling is definitely right around the corner. YIKES! How is that possible?!

She also loves to stand up while you're holding her and at church today she was next to me in the pew standing up and holding onto the side. What a strong girl! Both Sammy and Hannah were early walkers at 10 months so we'll see if she follows them.

I haven't technically started solids yet, besides giving her a taste of banana whenever the kids or I am eating one. She is definitely interested in food...it's just I'm not interested in starting that phase yet. I'll probably start some time this month.

Happy half-birthday my sweet Helene! I can't believe you've been with us half a year already!
