Arboretum Visit

It's been a while since we've been to the Arboretum. Our membership ran out several months ago--luckily, mom and dad renewed it for my birthday. Thank you and YAY!

Kristen and Noah were in town on Wednesday and we decided to head over there for the afternoon. The kids had so much fun feeding the ducks, geese, turtles and fish. No pictures because we were too busy keeping the kids from falling into the water!

Here are a few from the rest of our visit.

My kids are always obsessed with the sprinklers
Sammy and Noah
Fun climbing the huts!
A pile of dirt/leaves to climb on
A serene moment in front of the waterfall
But then they found some sticks...
They all decided to do some "fishing" with their sticks
Sammy found some quiet time to "fish" alone and get really muddyUntil Hannah decided to copy him...

Anyone who knows Hannah, knows that this is a classic Hannah expression. She was mad because she wanted to sit in Noah's stroller instead of ours. I just had to catch her pout.and the grouchy face too...
Despite the grouchy face, we all had a great time. And I was thrilled that night when the kids were so worn out from our visit, Hannah literally fell asleep about 5 minutes after getting in bed and Sammy after about 15 minutes. YAY for me!! I need to wear them out like that more often.

Great to see you Kristen and Noah!!

Aww, those are some adorable photos!! We went to the Arboretum this week too, so that Tim could study jungle trees for a project. There was a big film crew there, so that was very exciting. One guy told us that they were filming a "small independent feature," which I'm sure they tell everyone, whether or not it's true. Still, it's cool living in SoCal. :-)
