Fun at the Stake Fair!

Yesterday our Stake had their annual Stake Fair. I'm not sure how many years we've been going to this, but I know that last year we were out of town and were so sad to have missed it!

Sammy was in a hurry to get there, so he decided to help Hannah with her shoes.

It started at 12:00, but we arrived a little early because I wanted to be sure to get decent parking. I was glad we were there before a ton of people arrived since it gave the kids time to jump in the bounce houses before all the big kids got there and knocked all the little kids over.

The Princess Castle was huge and large enough for me to get in and jump with the kids.
You can see the pony rides to the right of the castle.

This Monster Truck bouncer was a lot smaller and the opening was way too tiny and the roof was low so just the kids went in.

So, there were 3 bounce houses (one had water) and two of those big inflatable slides (again, one with water) and a large inflatable slip and slide and a dunk tank. Sammy showed no fear and went right for the slide!

I took Hannah on it as well, but there are no pictures in my camera of it. My dad took a few, so I'll post those at a later time.

They had pony rides, a petting zoo, a mini-train ride and lots of food--hot dogs, chips, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and everyone's favorite: CHURROS! (all were free--an added bonus)

That fat little pig is so cute!

Grandma and Grandpa were in town for a car show (my Dad has a classic Studebaker), so they met us there and joined in on the fun

Two of Hannah's favorite things: a churro and Grandpa

Sam had to work (as usual), but left work early to play for a bit. He was in charge of the video camera, so here he is capturing the churros moment.

As you can see, they really only like to lick the cinnamon and sugar off it

Sammy noticed a big black beetle in the grass and that occupied them for a bit

Grandma and Hannah on the train

All of the pictures of the 4 of us on the train turned out lame (I should have taken you up on your offer Dana), so here is one from the Stake Fair 2006 when I was pregnant with Hannah. (It was the same train). Yes, I am huge and yes, I still had 2 more months to go. The black top is very slimming, yes?

At least compared to this:

Okay, I scanned the pictures real quick and was FREAKING out when I saw you in that black shirt. I was like, "um, is Doris pregnant?? I don't remember her looking like that when I saw her on Saturday. Has she been holding out on me??"
haah. I'm an idiot.
