NOTE TO SELF: NEVER BOTHER SLEEPING CHILD NO MATTER HOW AWKWARD THE POSITION THEY ARE SLEEPING IN.
I was seriously grouchy for pretty much most of the morning due to my early morning faux pas and tried to plan the rest of my day knowing that Hannah would need to nap early to avoid the catnap in the car. (Plus, I wanted to nap as well, so I wanted to be sure to take full advantage of the nap time). Sammy wanted to go to Lacy Park to ride his bike around, but I just kept envisioning a grouchy Hannah (and a grouchy me) at the park and just couldn't face doing it.
I decided to put Hannah down at 8:45am, figuring she would nap until 10:30 or so and then we would go to the park. Nope. No nap.
I finally gave up at 9:30 and finally took a shower and got ready to go. We went to Lacy Park and had a great time. Hannah wasn't grouchy. It wasn't too hot or too crowded. We ate a snack, played a bit and left at noon to meet Samuel for lunch at work. We had a nice lunch and drove home and Hannah FINALLY fell asleep. YAY!! Perfect timing, because I could put her in bed when we got home and I could nap too.
Sammy usually will entertain himself on the computer while I nap and leave me alone (it's nice to have a responsible 4-year-old whom I KNOW won't get into trouble while I'm asleep and will wake me if he needs something. I will NEVER be able to do this when Hannah is 4).
But, no such luck today, he came upstairs every 30 minutes or so to ask me something, so I finally gave up on any hope of taking nap and decided to get ready for our afternoon outing.
Dana had mentioned this nearby park that has a wading pool in it that is perfect for toddlers. As soon as Hannah awoke, the kids got on their swimsuits and we were off. We all had such a great time as it really was the perfect pool for them. There was a lifeguard and they check the ph levels in the water every hour, so it's not yucky. Plus I didn't have to get in too, I could just sit with the other moms and chat. So great!
Everyone out of the pool while they checked the ph levels
Thanks Dana for passing along the pool info--we had a great time! And thanks for sending me these cute pictures, they turned out much better than the ones I took.I went to bed that night at 8:30 and it was so heavenly and luckily the kids didn't get up until 7:45 this morning. Ahhhh, I needed a good night's sleep!

Great recap on your day. I'm so glad the Hannah nap thing turned out after all! (but bummer on your personal nap ). I hate when you have all the best intentions for the day and you just need things to run normal and then someone wakes up at 5am and everything's off! So again, glad you got back on schedule. And I'm so glad we all went to the wading park. Perfect afternoon outing.
And sorry, I haven't been ignoring your email. I've just been ignoring my email inbox. I have the Canon Powershot A520. It's the 3rd Canon I've had and I LOVE Canon. I swear by it and I've talked all my family into it to. Mine is a little chunkier than others but it takes great pictures. And the updated version of mine is much improved with pixel size etc. Sorry to leave all this info here.
I'm done. But let me know if you have more questions!
Oooh, fun! A little wading pool!! What park is that, anyway? I must check it out.
It was so fun to let the kids play at the park. And congrats on upcoming new one!
