I was going to make these into two different posts, but since they are both about Easter, I decided to just make it one big post.
Warning: lots of pictures--what did you expect?

We spent Saturday evening dying eggs. I always think a dozen will be enough (mostly because no one ever eats the hard boiled eggs after we're done), but it never seems to be. And the kids seem to be done in less than 15 minutes. Oh well. They had fun while it lasted.
I love how long her lashes are in this picture.

I absolutely love how excited the kids were in the morning to see that the Easter Bunny had eaten the carrots they left out for him--and to find all the candy that was in their baskets. Yum.Helene was a little obsessed with it too...

Since it was Conference Weekend, we didn't have our regular church service, so we quickly got ready and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some more fun. They had eggs all ready to be dyed and
Hannah was all ready to go at it again.
Hannah was all ready to go at it again.
Then it was out to the backyard for an Easter Egg Hunt. Yes, I know that Hannah doesn't match. At all. She and Helene had coordinating outfits on, but when we got to my parents' house it was freezing and super windy and all Hannah had on was a short sleeved shirt. I meant to check the weather before I left...but got distracted and forgot.Luckily I had a sweater in the van for her, but it was striped. It seriously almost killed me to put her in a striped sweater and polka dotted skirt, but I managed to cope okay. Just explaining why she is wearing the sweater in these pictures--you know how I am.
(And if you didn't before...you do now.)

Even the dog got in on the action
I just love big Ira's basket is.
Checking out all their loot
Helene managed to find a few treats...

...and a few more.
Emma found a ton of eggs.
And I just had to throw this one in becausesometimes I just can't get enough of her curls
Me and Helene
Me and Hannah
The boys decided to break out the Monopoly game.
While Hannah and Emma put on (pretend) make-up.
And then played around in the playroom
Hannah told me she couldn't look at the camerabecause she was too busy doing laundry.
Ummm...if you want to do laundry sweetie,
I can put you to work at home.
Emma is too cute in those ponytails.
Sean was adorable as always.
And Helene tried to play along...
but then changed her mind.
She decided to have a snack and play with the big girls.
And found a little chair just her size.
So thrilled to be eating dinner. She was actually totally exhausted from missing her nap.
The girls were inseparable.
We had a great visit with family and the kids have such a great time together. It's so nice to have family close by.Happy Easter!!

Sounds like a great Easter! I love the shot of you and Hannah with your matching curly hair :) I totally get the matching clothes thing. I am always mortified when I go to pick up Catherine at church or preschool when she's had an accident and has her replacement clothes on. Something always ends up being mismatched like red socks and bow with black shoes and a pink outfit. It always seems to happen on days that I need to run an errand on the way home, too!
Fun Easter with Family! I love the pic of you and Hannay with your curly locks as well.
I'm with you on the stripes/polka dot issue. I do not let my boys out unless I have pre-approved what they are wearing. It drives Mike nuts. I told him to give me a girl and I wouldn't worry about the boys so much ;)
So much Easter fun!! What a great time!! We totally neglected to dye eggs this year, haha. But thanks for the super recap of your festivities!!
Uh, Doris, I'm a little disappointed in Hannah's polka dotted sweater with the striped skirt. I really expected more from you....Just kidding! That's hilarious that you would even mention it! Really, Hannah just looks "Easter - y!"
What cute kids! :)
i LOVE all the pictures! those are my favorite kinds of posts.
