A day out...

...of the house, that is.

On Thursday, while workers tore apart our ceiling and walls, my parents and I took the kids out for a day off of school. Since we had to be out of our house all day, we decided to go to the zoo. But after discovering how hot it was outside, we made a detour at In-N-Out and decided it would be better to go to Chuck E Cheese's and use up some tokens I had leftover from a previous visit.

It was perfect. A Tuesday afternoon with no one else there but two other people. Nice.

The kids loved playing air hockey with Grandpa
And Hannah just couldn't get enough of this horse ride--she must have ridden it at least 8 times
There were big smiles all aroundEven from Helene...Sammy did great at this submarine game
And Skeeball
When all the tokens were gone, we headed over to the mall.
The train ride there is always fun!

Thanks for coming to play Grandma and Grandpa--we had so much fun!!

The workers didn't finish up for the day until after 7pm, so it was a long day for everyone. They are coming back on Monday to repair all the walls and ceiling. I can't wait...I'm so tired of looking at duct tape and plastic wrap and pipes.

so many fun pictures! I love all the smiling pics of Hannah....especially that one with her head back. Hilarious! She's so cute.
Fun day out!

What a fun day!! Okay, I do exactly those same things with Weston. Take him to Chuck E Cheese (where I just buy a soda and let him run around), take him to the mall (where, again, I just let him play and walk around). Love it!!

Darling pictures of your kids. Chuck E. Cheese is great during a weekday morning. No one's there and it's clean - amazing! And remodeling is bleck! I feel for you. Been there, done that.
